Anita holds over 25 years of experience in human resources including performing full cycle of healthcare recruiting (e.g. sourcing, screening, interviewing, making job offers) for a major hospital in the District of Columbia. She hired major positions including physicians, psychologists, nurses, other allied health and business administration positions of all levels. She has identified, hired, developed, and motivated employees through coaching and mentoring, thereby creating a positive work environment with engaged employees. Anita also holds experience in Employee Labor Relations with expertise in Reduction in Force (RIF) from inception to facilitation.
Additionally, Anita's work experience includes working in a non-public high school with students with disabilities. She served a dual function as the HR Director and also the Transition Coordinator. Outside of her duties in HR, Anita's overall responsibility in the transition services of the students were to provide system-wide leadership and direction for the coordination and implementation of transition plans and activities in post-secondary education, employment, and independent living. Ensuring students received services that met their needs according to academic, social/emotional, and cognitive levels of functioning.
Anita has been instrumental in providing personalized service to individuals in their academic, career, and wellness arena. As a graduate with a bachelor's degree, master's degree, and also a PhD in Psychology, she has served countless people as an advisor, advocate, educator, trainer and mentor. Helping people find jobs, pursue educational opportunities, and receive mental health and wellness services is indeed a deeply rewarding and intrinsically motivating experience. There’s something inherently fulfilling about knowing that your efforts have made a tangible difference in someone’s life—whether it's helping them secure financial stability, offering them a new sense of purpose, or opening doors to personal and professional growth.
